Sustainability and the Harmony Project

The Harmony Project embraces the idea of sustainability on many levels. It is the foundation of the business model because it makes economic sense. The sense of purpose between the investor and the traveller is thus harmonious.

Sustainability practices are also applied to the facilities, the food, arts, personnel, healing and more. Unique opportunities abound when we are open to the resources all around us. Local materials and people are used to create nearly self sufficient communities: healthy, fresh food is grown or gathered at the place, artisans are employed to create truly one of a kind ambience, music in casual or formal settings is always abundant, and local healing arts in both healing centers and spas rejuvenate visitors and provide a deeply personal exchange between the indigenous community and lucky visitors.

Efficient Facility Development

Many suprising opportunities await those who invest in community. At Gibbs Farm, the numerous local employees were invited to create their own "village" in place of some run down and obsolete barracks. They embraced that invitation with passion, actually researched possibilities with the elders of the community and created on site employee housing so interesting that guests are frequently seen exploring the village housing. The rewards of innovation are plentiful.

In Costa Rica, the abundant rain was harnessed by the architects to create music as it runs off the structures. All facilities are designed to leave a minimal carbon footprint.

In China, The clusters are scalable with additional rental dwellings added as the destination’s market matures to support additional capacity and room type. The usual inconveniences created by construction are minimized by the use of traditional tools and the opportunities for demonstration of the on-going building projects. Weather and sustainability development principles (typically related to indigenous technology) dictates building style.

Rejuvenation and the Spa

Spiritual and bodily rejuvenation, diet and recreation are all key to our program. Indigenous Medicine wellness traditions will be particularly emphasized. We offer a chance to explore the connections between the physical, spiritual and emotional within cultures around the globe.

Our spa services offer everything from familiar rejuvenation techniques using high quality, organic materials to unique indigenous spa experiences that are designed to push willing guests outside of their comfort zones and into a transformational space. Treatments that span healing, spritual renewal, beauty and heartfelt enlightenment are available at every site, providing all the tools necessary for a once in a lifetime journey.

Music, Art and Food

Located in beautiful, remote regions around the world, Harmony Project resort properties emphasize enriching experiences that touch all the senses and stimulate the mind. Of course food, music and art are the foundations for much of that and our locations currently include
